CON-TEXTS 2026 \u2013 Seminar Report<\/p>\n

The annual seminar of the PG &amp; Research Department of English, Providence Women\u2019s
\nCollege (Autonomous), Kozhikode, CON-TEXTS 2026, was conducted on 13 February
\n2026 as a one-day national seminar on the theme Contours of Memory: Emerging
\nTrajectories in Memory Studies.
\nThe keynote address was delivered by Dr Avishek Parui, Associate Professor of English,
\nDepartment of Humanities and Social Sciences, Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
\nThe inaugural session also featured felicitations by the Principal, Dr. (Sr). Jaseena Joseph,
\nand Dr Shanthi Vijayan, Head of the PG &amp; Research Department of English.
\nThe keynote lecture was followed by five parallel technical sessions comprising both offline
\nand online paper presentations.
\nMorning Sessions
\nThe first offline session commenced at Carmel Hall at 12:00 noon and concluded at 1:00 p.m.
\nThe session was chaired by Dr Surya K, Associate Professor, PG &amp; Research Department of
\nEnglish, Providence Women\u2019s College (Autonomous), Kozhikode. It featured five paper
\npresentations. Ms Madhuri and Ms Ajanya of I M.A. English moderated the session.
\nThe second session was conducted online from 11:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. It was chaired by Dr
\nPrathibha P, Assistant Professor, PG &amp; Research Department of English, Providence
\nWomen\u2019s College (Autonomous), Kozhikode. The session included six presentations and was
\nmoderated by Ms Nandana Surendran and Ms Fathima Rana of II M.A. English.
\nLunch was served from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
\nAfternoon Sessions
\nThe third session began at 2:00 p.m. at Carmel Hall and concluded at 3:30 p.m. It was chaired
\nby Ms Elizabeth Antony, Assistant Professor, PG &amp; Research Department of English,
\nProvidence Women\u2019s College (Autonomous), Kozhikode. The session comprised seven
\noffline presentations and was moderated by Ms Nandana Jayaprakash (II M.A. English) and
\nMs Aiswarya Ajayakumar (I M.A. English).
\nThe fourth session was conducted online from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. It was chaired by Ms
\nNayana Alphonsa Mathew, Faculty, PG &amp; Research Department of English, Providence
\nWomen\u2019s College (Autonomous), Kozhikode. The session included six presentations and was
\nmoderated by Ms Riya P and Ms Sneha Sathyan T. P., both of II M.A. English.
\nThe fifth session was held online in parallel from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. It was chaired by Dr.
\n(Sr). Pilcy Peter, Assistant Professor, PG &amp; Research Department of English, Providence
\nWomen\u2019s College (Autonomous), Kozhikode. The session featured six online presentations
\nand was moderated by Ms Karthika M. S. and Ms Meghana V. of I M.A. English.
\nValedictory Session<\/p>\n

Following a tea break, the seminar concluded at 4:00 pm with a Valedictory Session. Dr.
\nKavya Nair K. S., Staff Coordinator of CON-TEXTS 2026, delivered the Vote of Thanks.
\nCertificates were distributed to all offline participants on the same day. E-certificates were
\nemailed to online participants two weeks after the event.<\/p>\n<\/div>
