A National Seminar was organized by the Department of History on 23 October 2025.
\nDr. Salah Punathil, Assistant Professor, Centre for Regional Studies, University of
\nHyderabad, delivered the keynote address. His lecture, titled \u201cInterdisciplinary
\nApproaches: Studying Past and Present \u2013 Reflections in Social Science,\u201d emphasized the
\nsignificance of integrating diverse disciplinary perspectives in the study of historical and
\ncontemporary societies.<\/p>\n

The second session was handled by our Alumni Dr.Ashitha Mandakathingal, Assistant Professor,
\nDepartment of History, Calicut University. She delivered a talk on Gender History-Doing Gender
\nHistory: Approaches and challenges.<\/p>\n<\/div>
