The Ayur Club, Department of History, and Women’s Cell of Providence Women’s
College (Autonomous) jointly organized the inaugural function of “MA – The Real
Sheroes” on 28 October 2025 at MV Hall from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
The event, themed “Odyssey of Healing,” aimed to create a global circle where every
survivor’s voice becomes an inspiration for others, symbolizing resilience and empowerment.
The program featured member talks under the collective segment “Our Sheroes’ Stories,”
which included reflections such as “My Mirror, My Unflinching Twin,” “Pain to Gain,”
“When Her Battle Built Me,” and “I Survived, You Can Too.” These narratives celebrated
strength, recovery, and the transformative power of shared experiences.
Presidential address was delivered by our Principal ,Dr.Sr.Ashmitha. Dr. Shaji K. Aiyllath,
Senior Consultant in Surgical Oncology, Director of 64 Codon (Bioscience Research
Company), and Medical Advisor to CanCure (NGO), addressed the gathering and shared
valuable insights into the medical and emotional dimensions of healing. The program also
included video messages from the community, reinforcing solidarity among the survivors.
The event marked an inspiring beginning for “MA – The Real Sheroes,” reaffirming the
institution’s commitment to promoting mental well-being, empathy, and interdisciplinary
engagement through social awareness initiatives.
A balloon art competition was held and prizes were distributed to the winners.
