The Department of Chemistry organised an online interactive Bond Booster Programme on 25.01.26 at 7:30 PM. The resource person was our alumna Fathima Hanna P.T. (2021–24 batch). She is currently pursuing her M.Sc. at Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, and is undertaking her M.Sc. project at IISER Tirupati after receiving the IAS Fellowship. During the session, she shared her experiences with internships and fellowships and guided students on securing research opportunities. The programme was informative and motivating for the participants.
The Department of Chemistry organised a Bond Booster Programme on 24.01.26 to facilitate interaction between eminent alumnae and current students. The session was led by alumna Krishnanjana V. Nair (2017–2020 batch), currently a research scholar at the University of Liverpool, England. She shared her academic journey and motivated students to pursue higher studies and research. A total of 66 students from the first, second, and third years participated in the programme.
The Department of Chemistry, in association with Anton’s Medicode, organized an online webinar on medical coding on 17/01/2025 at 6:00 pm to create awareness about its scope in the healthcare sector. The session was led by Mr. Dipin C, Marketing Manager, who explained the fundamentals of medical coding and introduced key coding manuals such as CPT, HCPCS, and ICD. Career prospects, internship opportunities, and employability benefits in the field of medical coding were also discussed. The webinar was informative and encouraged students to consider medical coding as a viable career option.
A seminar titled “Emerging Trends in Higher Education & Career Guidance” was conducted by the Career Guidance and Placement Cell of Providence Women’s College (Autonomous) in collaboration with Yenepoya (Deemed to be University), Bangalore on 14.01.2026. The session was led by Dr. Jerry John, Director of Academics, Yenepoya University, and highlighted recent developments in higher education and career pathways. A total of 68 students participated actively in the seminar. The Yenepoya team awarded certificates to all participants, marking the successful completion of the programme.
The Department of Chemistry organized an academic writing skills workshop titled “Summer Sparks: Ignite Your Career with Summer Fellowships and Internships” on 16th January 2026, led by Dr. Ashwani Kumar N, Assistant Professor, Sir Syed College, Kannur. The session focused on creating awareness about summer fellowships and internships, guiding students on identifying research areas, conducting literature reviews, and preparing effective applications, with hands-on training in drafting Statements of Purpose. A total of 105 students from first, second, and third years attended the program, benefiting from expert feedback to strengthen their academic writing and research readiness.
