On 9th December, 2025 the department of Physics organized a seminar on Energy Audit. The session was led by Mr. Pavitran, a former KSEB officer. During the morning session, the speaker explained in detail how an energy audit is conducted. He discussed the power consumption of various electrical appliances used in our daily life and highlighted the key factors and guided students on the career path of becoming an energy auditor. Three day astronomy Workshop -Dept. of Physics

Department of physics, Providence women's college conducted three day workshop titled "Three Days Under the Stars: An Astronomy Skill Workshop" skill  on 14,15,17 th November 2025 . Dr.Nijo Varghese, Assistant Professor of Physics in Sacred Heart College, handled the session.  Session covered a wide range of topics, including the fundamentals of observational astronomy, astro-imaging and image processing, as well as the construction of a refractor telescope. As a part of national space day NSPD 2025 physics department has  conducted an essay writing competition on 19/08/2025 Monday at 1.30 pm from room no 23 ,on the topic 'women in space' and a poster making competition on 20/08/2025 at 1.30pm from physics lab on the topic 'India on moon' . students from various departments had actively participated and the certificates for the winners has been provided by ISRO

Department of physics conducted skill training workshop for seven days focusing on enhancing job prospects. The workshop started on 15 -09-2025 ,9.30 am at M.V hall. Miss Neeta, an esteemed HR professional from Mahindra & Mahindra, handled the session .The session covered essential topics such as resume building, interview preparation, and group discussions.
