The Department of Economics, Providence Women’s College (Autonomous), organized the Edwina Memorial Debate Competition on 17 February 2026 at 12:30 PM at the Open Stage. The theme for the debate was “Impact of Social Media on Youth.” The competition provided a dynamic platform for students to express their perspectives, critically analyze contemporary issues, and enhance their public speaking and argumentative skills. The Department of Economics, Providence Women’s College (Autonomous), celebrated Christmas on 24 December 2025 with the Chukkalkuni Kattunayakan tribe at Muthanga. As part of the outreach initiative, faculty and students spent meaningful time with the community, sharing festive joy, warmth, and solidarity. The visit aimed to foster social responsibility, inclusiveness, and community engagement among students. By celebrating the season of love and giving with the tribal community, the department reaffirmed its commitment to compassion, service, and meaningful social connection beyond the campus.

The Department of Economics, Providence Women’s College (Autonomous), Calicut, organized an Intercollegiate Panel Discussion on the Union Budget 2026–27 at Carmel Hall at 11 AM.
