The PG and Research Department of Physics at Providence Women’s College, Kozhikode, organized an extension activity titled Cosmic Gaze: Anti-Superstition Show and Sky Watch 2026 for the public. The program was conducted in association with IUCAA Centre for Astronomy Research & Development and the Regional Science Centre & Planetarium, Kozhikode. Held on 12 March 2026 at the open terrace of the library complex, the event aimed to promote scientific awareness and rational thinking among the community. The anti-superstition session addressed common myths related to astronomy and encouraged a scientific outlook. This was followed by an engaging sky-watching session where participants observed celestial objects using telescopes. The event successfully fostered public interest in astronomy while strengthening the institution’s commitment to community outreach and scientific education.
