The program “Beyond the Borders” was organized as an interactive session for the Botany students of Providence Women’s College (Autonomous), Kozhikode, on 13 October 2025 at 1.30 pm in the 3rd year Botany classroom. The session was handled by Ms. Deepika Deepak, M.Sc. Food Science and Technology, Teesside University, Middlesbrough, UK, an alumna of Providence Women’s College. She shared her academic experiences abroad, discussed higher education and career opportunities in life sciences, and highlighted the importance of global exposure. The session was highly interactive, motivating students to broaden their academic perspectives and aspire for international opportunities.

Organic curry leaves distribution – Dept. of Botany

The Green Flavour Drive was conducted on 25 September 2025, during which fresh curry leaves harvested from the Botanical Garden of Providence Women’s College (Autonomous), Kozhikode, were distributed to the faculty members of various departments. The initiative aimed to promote the use of home-grown, chemical-free greens and to create awareness about the benefits of cultivating aromatic plants. The drive was well received by the faculty, reinforcing the college’s commitment to sustainability and eco-friendly practices.

Drug awareness quiz competition – Dept. of Botany

A quiz competition was organized on 18 August 2025 as part of the Drug Awareness Program for students, focusing on the theme “Drugs No More.” Held from 12.45 pm to 01.15 pm at the Botany Lab, Providence Women’s College (Autonomous), Kozhikode, the event aimed to promote awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse and encourage students to adopt a healthy, responsible lifestyle. Participants actively engaged in the quiz rounds, demonstrating enthusiasm and strong awareness of the topic. The program successfully served as an interactive platform to educate and motivate students toward a drug-free campus environment.
