An institutional visit was conducted on 12 March 2026 to the Composite Regional Centre for Skill Development, Rehabilitation and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (CRC), located at Chevayur, Kozhikode. A total of 14 first year and 8 second year psychology students participated in the visit. The centre functions under the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities and provides services related to rehabilitation, skill development, and empowerment of persons with disabilities. The visit helped students gain practical knowledge about rehabilitation services and the multidisciplinary support provided to individuals with disabilities.

The Department of Psychology Association organized its Valedictory Ceremony on 20/02/2026 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The programme was graced by the Chief Guest, Dr. Sherone K. P. A one-day industrial visit to Kusumagiri Mental Health Centre, Kakkanad, Kerala, was organized by the Department of Psychology in February 2026 for second-year students. A total of 36 students, accompanied by two faculty members, participated in the visit. The programme provided practical exposure to the functioning of a mental health institution. Students attended an orientation session and gained insights into various departments, treatment approaches, and the roles of mental health professionals. The visit enhanced their understanding of clinical practice and its real-world applications.

The Department of Psychology organized an intercollegiate psychology fest, “LUCIDORA,” on February 4th. The event was inaugurated by Ms. Nouzia Noordeen, Assistant Professor of Psychology, School of Philosophy, Psychology and Scientific Heritage, Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth University, Ernakulam. A session titled “Forensic Psychology: Beyond Crime, Towards Correction” was conducted by Ms. Nouzia Noordeen from 10:30 a.m. onwards.
