An institutional visit was conducted on 12 March 2026 to the Composite Regional Centre for Skill Development, Rehabilitation and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (CRC), located at Chevayur, Kozhikode. A total of 14 first year and 8 second year psychology students participated in the visit. The centre functions under the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities and provides services related to rehabilitation, skill development, and empowerment of persons with disabilities. The visit helped students gain practical knowledge about rehabilitation services and the multidisciplinary support provided to individuals with disabilities.

The Department of Psychology organized an educational visit to Your Centre, Eranhipalam, on 3rd March 2026 for 42 second-year Psychology students. The visit aimed to provide practical exposure to modern diagnostic and imaging techniques relevant to psychological and neurological assessment.

The Department of Psychology Association organized its Valedictory Ceremony on 20/02/2026 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The programme was graced by the Chief Guest, Dr. Sherone K. P. R., Assistant Professor and Programme Director of M.Sc. Clinical Psychology, Philosophy, Psychology and Scientific Heritage (PPSH), Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth. A one-day industrial visit to Kusumagiri Mental Health Centre, Kakkanad, Kerala, was organized by the Department of Psychology in February 2026 for second-year students. A total of 36 students, accompanied by two faculty members, participated in the visit. The programme provided practical exposure to the functioning of a mental health institution. Students attended an orientation session and gained insights into various departments, treatment approaches, and the roles of mental health professionals. The visit enhanced their understanding of clinical practice and its real-world applications.

Five students of the 3rd year Psychology participated in the National Psychology Fest 2026, “PSYESTA,” on February 11, organized by the Department of Psychology at Rajagiri College of Social Sciences (Autonomous), Kalamassery. Prarthana Janet M.V. won the 1st prize in the Photography Competition. Parvana Sunil and Shaikha K.K. secured the 2nd prize in the Quiz Competition.

The Department of Psychology organized an intercollegiate psychology fest, “LUCIDORA,” on February 4th. The event was inaugurated by Ms. Nouzia Noordeen, Assistant Professor of Psychology, School of Philosophy, Psychology and Scientific Heritage, Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth University, Ernakulam. A session titled “Forensic Psychology: Beyond Crime, Towards Correction” was conducted by Ms. Nouzia Noordeen from 10:30 a.m. onwards. This was followed by various games and competitions, including Locard’s Exchange (Crime Investigation), Psylogix (Applied Psychology Quiz), Sync or Sink (Games), and a Reel-Making Competition. . The Department of Psychology organized the K-DISC STRIDE Internship Programme Inauguration on 19 January 2026 for first-year and second-year Psychology students. The programme was inaugurated by Ms. Deepitha M, alumna of the 2020–2023 batch, who is currently serving as a Junior Associate at the Programming Management Unit (PMU), Kerala Development and Innovation Strategic Council (K-DISC)

A certificate course on self-development, in collaboration with the Trust Centre for Mindful Living, was organized by the Department of Psychology on 16th January 2026 for I Year Psychology students. The programme was conducted by Dr. Prajeesh Palanthara, Psychologist, and aimed at enhancing self-awareness, emotional regulation, mindfulness, and personal growth among students.

The Department of Psychology organized a Pathfinder Career Research Readiness Program on 6th January 2026 for II-year Psychology students. The program was conducted by Prof. Minoo Divakaran, Director of Research and Consultancy, Providence Women’s College (Autonomous) with the objective of enhancing students’ awareness of career planning and research preparedness in the field of psychology. The session offered valuable insights into various career pathways, research opportunities, and the skills required for higher studies and professional growth.
