The Department started its beginning in the year 1981 with degree course B.Sc. Mathematics and has a lion’s share in the prominence and the progress of this great educational institution. Incessant showers of success from the Department of Mathematics proved its academic excellence. The Department aims for academic excellence, personality development and to create an aptitude for higher studies and research programmes. The Department celebrated its silver jubilee in 2005.Later on the M.Sc. Mathematics course was introduced in the year 2014.Certificate courses were begun in the year 2011.
