The Department of Economics, organized the Inauguration of the Economics Association on 22 December 2025 at 9:30 AM in the MV Hall. The programme was graced by Ms. Alphonsa Mathew, Social Activist and Former Councillor of Kozhikode Corporation, as the Chief Guest and Resource Person.
The event began with a prayer followed by the welcome address. Dr. Vidya KT, Head of the Department of Economics, delivered the Presidential Address. The Chief Guest delivered the Keynote Address on the theme “Change is possible, It is we to change,” inspiring students towards social responsibility and active citizenship. The programme also included the presentation of the Annual Report, magazine release, and concluded with a vote of thanks. The inauguration marked the beginning of the association’s academic and co-curricular activities for the year.
