The Department of Economics, Providence Women’s College (Autonomous), organized the Edwina Memorial Debate Competition on 17 February 2026 at 12:30 PM at the Open Stage. The theme for the debate was “Impact of Social Media on Youth.” The competition provided a dynamic platform for students to express their perspectives, critically analyze contemporary issues, and enhance their public speaking and argumentative skills. Participants engaged in thoughtful discussions, presenting balanced views on the opportunities and challenges posed by social media in shaping the attitudes, behaviour, and aspirations of today’s youth. The event successfully fostered critical thinking and constructive dialogue among students.
