The Department of Botany, Providence Women’s College (Autonomous), Kozhikode, organized a two-day workshop titled “Earth Watch Network – An Interactive Session with Students” on 5 and 6 February 2026 at the MV Hall, with support from the Kerala State Biodiversity Board.

The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Manju K.P., District Co-ordinator, KSBB, who emphasized the importance of biodiversity conservation. Dr. Joby Paul, Assistant Professor, St. Thomas College, Thrissur, conducted the technical sessions, providing training in biodiversity assessment and digital documentation.

The workshop focused on the conservation and documentation of plant and animal diversity at Florican Hill, Malaparamba, offering students valuable field experience and practical learning. The programme concluded successfully with active student participation.
