The Department of Economics, Providence Women’s College (Autonomous), celebrated Christmas on 24 December 2025 with the Chukkalkuni Kattunayakan tribe at Muthanga. As part of the outreach initiative, faculty and students spent meaningful time with the community, sharing festive joy, warmth, and solidarity. The visit aimed to foster social responsibility, inclusiveness, and community engagement among students. By celebrating the season of love and giving with the tribal community, the department reaffirmed its commitment to compassion, service, and meaningful social connection beyond the campus.
