The Department of English conducted the second edition of their annual Literature Fest Solstice, KALANK, on the 27th of January 2026. The Chief Guest of the day was respected writer and winner of the Kendra Sahitya Akademi's Yuva Puraskar 2025, Mr. Akhil P Dharmajan. The inaugural ceremony was conducted in the college auditorium. Noted mentalist Mr. Shibin Haridas also engaged the students in a fascinating session of mentalism. Students from various colleges across the district participated in the events and competitions organised as part of the fest.

Research Orientation Session – “To be or not to be” by Prof. Minoo Divakaran – Dept. of English

The PG & Research Dept. of English, Providence Women's College conducted a Research Orientation Session on 24 Oct. 2025. The Keynote Address, "To be or not to be" was delivered by Prof. Minoo Divakaran, Director of Research and Consultancy. The session began with a discussion on how the FYUP (Four-Year Undergraduate Program) enables students to pursue Ph.D. studies directly, bypassing the need for a Master’s degree. MOU Activity- Lecture series “The Trap of the Hamlet” – Dept. of English

The PG & Research Dept. of English, Providence Women's College in collaboration with St. Joseph's College, Devagiri launched a lecture series on Hamlet on 21 Oct. 2025. The Keynote Address, "The trap of the Hamlet - Literary art as a cultural paradigm"   was delivered by Shri. Anand K., Cultural Activist and poet. The other lectures will be delivered by Dr. Shanthi Vijayan and Dr. Robin Xavier, Assistant Professors, Providence Women's College and St. Joseph's College, Devagiri respectively on 23 Oct. 2025.
